Haruco Vert SS27 - Samsara IV/1 Ascent
Written by

Samsara is Haruco-vert’s ongoing exploration of change. Inspired by the endless
cycle of becoming, each collection captures a different stage of transformation.
This collection marks a shift from transformation to intention. Where previous
collections moved within the cycle of change, this collection chooses a direction:
upward.
Circular shapes and spiraal cuts remain as traces of Samsara’s continuous cycle, but
they are interrupted, stretched and redirected into vertical lines.
Silhouettes rise, forms elongate, and contrasting materials create a dialogue between strength and fluidity.
Vertebrae pleats rise along the body like an evolving spine, reinforcing this upward movement. Their
almost skeletal, animal-like structure brings an instinctive energy to the collection, where ascent
feels both architectural and primal.
Ascent is not imagined as effortless or serene, but as an act of will. A movement
against gravity, resistance and the forces that keep us in place.
Dark and earthy tones anchor the collection close to the ground, moving through black, green and
blue towards white. Like the silhouettes themselves, colour and material gradually shift from weight
towards light.
We're excited to show the collection at Curate in New York, September 9 - 11, 541 W 25th St.
