AMRICH - Luna.Blue

Written by
Anna Kranzle
She is coy, she is bold, ever changing ... beautiful in her imperfections. Wearing her darkness as a fascinator, she sets many a heart aflutter. Her moods can move emotions just as easily as oceans. She inspires with her radiance and teaches us how to reflect joy on others ... a rarity ... precious ... Luna.Blue.
Making use of their vast repository of engagement with Indian handlooms and craft traditions, AMRICH offers a range of chic separates made with exquisite hand-crafted natural textiles. The luxurious fabrics have been specially developed in different parts of India in hand-spun cottons, silks and silk-cotton blends.

There is a joyful take on mixing and matching textures, forms and opacities through different textiles and fabric constructions. The use of thick, hand-spun cotton yarn inserts woven with lightweight sheer silk, to create exquisite translucent fabrics whilst also making use of the yarns to play with checks and stripes.

Textures have been created on textile surfaces making use of hand-pleating techniques bound by the humble running stitch as well as through exquisite embroidered bead & thread wrk. There is newness created in the signature Shibori patterns by way of introducing interesting fabric manipulations in the process.

For the Spring/Summer 2023 AMRICH collection, called Luna.Blue, the color palette is primarily ivories offset by blues. The collection channels the timeless grace of the hand-made into garments that are easy, versatile, modern and evocative.

We are excited to introduce this designer to the US market. We will be showing the Spring/Summer 2023 collection at Los Angeles Market Week: July 31st to August 3rd, at the JP Represents Showroom - Gerry Building, #702 and at Curate International Collections in New York, September 16th to 18th.
